1000 by 1500 is the tallest pin Pinterest shows in full. Pins are laid out in fixed-width columns, so height is the only way to take more of the screen, but anything taller than 2:3 is truncated in the feed and the cut-off part only appears after a tap. Exporting larger at the same ratio, 1500 by 2250 for instance, is fine; Pinterest downscales it and the extra detail survives a zoom.
